I bring 18 years of experience to nonprofit fund development, storytelling and coaching.
Rooted in a commitment to authentic relationship-building and servant leadership, my approach to working with clients is collaborative and responsive to the unique needs of each organization. I work with boards and executive leaders to analyze development efforts, create strategic development and communications plans to grow revenue, and facilitate the implementation of said plans to lay the foundation for long-term support. As a former VP of Advancement, my work integrates concrete strategies for solicitation, cultivation and stewardship with storytelling that gets to the heart of an organization’s impact. I nurture cultures of philanthropy by illuminating how everyone, from front-line staff to board members, has an important role to play in an organization’s advancement.
In my role as VP of Advancement for Samaritan House, northern Silicon Valley’s leader in poverty alleviation, I directed an 11-person team tasked with raising $19M per year. I personally closed gifts as large as $1M and led my team in tripling the size of the organization’s individual giving program, from $1.2M to $4M. I managed the development and launch of Samaritan House’s new brand in 2020, including overseeing a total website redesign.
Prior to Samaritan House, I was Development Officer for the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company in San Francisco and, before that, was responsible for raising $1.4M in grant revenue for the Paul Taylor Dance Company in New York City.
Education: I graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University with a BA in Organizational Communication and completed minors in Sociology and Dance.
When not working: I recently moved back to my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA where I live with my husband, daughter, and 13-year-old pit bull mix. I love to go on adventures with my daughter, hike with my husband, cook with my mom and read with my dog.
